Blinded by Vision

Don’t be so excited about something you are doing that you cannot give it up for the opportunity of something better. There is a great show on ABC called, “Shark Tank”. Entrepreneurs get to pitch their idea to a team of investors and so many of them walk away from money because they don’t see the deal as fair. There was one guy in particular who walked away from $1,000,000 for the patent on his guitar folding idea. The reality is that this guy will never be able to make $1m on his own, he needed the expertise of the team to make his dream happen. He was so excited because he saw the potential of the product that he was blinded by his own vision. Know who you are and what your strengths are and be ready to pass the baton when you have taken something as far as it can go.
